LAMP CARE

Stoneware is a semi-porous substance, as is the nature of clay, so some light condensation on the bottom of the piece can be normal especially in the hotter months. Danny Kaplan Studio is not liable for marks left on surfaces that vessels may leave due to the nature of the medium.

Lamp Wattage: Danny Kaplan Studio recommends using energy efficient LED Tala Bulbs for our lamp sockets but any standard e26 bulb will work. We recommend a maximum of 60W incandescent per UL guidelines.

To clean the ceramic body of your lamp: Use a soft cloth to wipe the body of the lamp clean. Use care when using a damp cloth in order to avoid damage to the finish of the lamp’s base.

To clean the finial and hardware: Use a soft cloth to wipe the finial and hardware clean. Our brass hardware is unfinished and will therefore develop a patina over time. Use great care if using brass polish in order to avoid damaging the finish of the lamp’s base and ceramic body.

Handle with care: Stoneware, though on the durable end of clay bodies, is susceptible to breakage if mishandled. Danny Kaplan Studio LLC is not liable for broken pieces from mishandling.

DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery to inform us of any damages or omissions. Should an item be damaged while it is being shipped to you by us, Danny Kaplan Studio will provide you with a full replacement, exchange or refund. We may decline to replace, exchange or refund damaged or missing items should you fail to inform us within 48 hours of delivery.

Due to the nature of our process, please note that variation in size and finish may occur.

RETURNS

Returns of any in stock items may be made within 10 days of receiving a piece purchased directly through Danny Kaplan Studio LLC. If you wish to return a piece, it must be undamaged, unused, and clean. Please email orders@dannykaplanstudio.com to request a return label.

Your refund will be credited to the same card used to make the original purchase. You will receive an automated email once we’ve processed your refund. We are unable to assist with returns of pieces purchased through our stockists. Please contact the stockist directly to inquire about their return policy.

Lampshades in their undamaged, original condition may be returned for a $45 restocking fee. For an exchange, the original cellophane cover must be intact.
